CD34+ cells, containing hematopoietic stem cells, are a group of pluripotent cells that give rise to both myeloid and lymphoid immune cells. Primary human derived CD34s have been shown to differentiate in vitro into macrophages, mast cells, Natural killer cells, innate lymphoid cells (ILCs), and T cells, to name a few. Human cord blood with a high concentration of CD34+ cells present a unique opportunity to study these immune cell types in vitro. Cord blood CD34+ stem cells are isolated from umbilical cord blood using positive immunomagnetic cell separation procedures and are guaranteed >90% purity and viability. To account for loss of viable cells during freeze/thaw each tube has a 30% overfill of CD34+ cells. All of Donors are screened for HIV-1, HIV-2, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. All products are tested for sterility before freezing and shipping.
