CD3+ Pan T Cells are isolated from cord blood mononuclear cells by negative immunomagnetic selection techniques. All cord blood is collected in Citric Phosphate with Dextrose Buffer (CPD).
T cells are an important part of the adaptive immune system, with the ability to specifically recognize pathogen epitopes. CD3+ pan T cells represent helper T cells, cytotoxic T cells, and T regulatory cells. Cord blood derived CD3+ T cells have been used in cancer studies and shown to have an enhanced antitumor effect compared with their adult peripheral blood counterparts.
